 TIMAC
manufactures its products from three indispensable ingredients
that feed both plants and the soil: nitrogen, phosphate and potash.
Even though these elements are naturally present in the soil,
air and water, very few natural environments have a sufficient
quantity to nourish plants effectively. The challenge facing agriculture
today and in the future is to use these fertilizing elements in
the most precise and efficient way possible.
Through its very specific products, Timac has risen to the challenge
of an agriculture that is more respectful of safe environmental
practices. The products we manufacture use raw materials such
as Maerl a calcified seaweed harvested from selected spots
offshore Brittany (Europe). .
Timac’s commitment
to a responsible care approach is proof of its involvement in
protecting the environment. As an evidence of this, the Reading
manufacturing facility of Timac USA has been named the 2002
Environmental Respect Award winner for the State of Pennsylvania
(being one of the only 14 companies granted this official
recognition in the US).
This
long-term action is also aimed at providing a product offering
perfectly adapted to each specific agronomic situation.
